The mission of Justice Overcoming Boundaries (JOB) is to support and develop grassroots community leadership by empowering lower income and other marginalized, often immigrant and people of color in Sand Diego with the tools, skills, and resources to shape the public policies that directly impact them, their families, and communities. Given the JOB is an institutionally based interfaith organization, it builds leaders across race, class and geographic barriers in our region.
The vision of the organization includes the following: 15 Member Institutions – 6 North County and 9 San Diego The leaders will identify up to three key issues within the community and host a non-partisan integrated voter campaign to engage the residents. This will happen in Escondido with the possibility of the City of San Diego The organization will host a series of leadership trainings that will include relationship building, power, strategy and planning, know your rights, and more. No less than 5 full day, 6 half day, and 8 two-hour trainings. Raise funding to employ two community organizers.
